Regulation 187 requires that producers in the state of New York act in the best interest of their clients. As a result, LIMRA and RegEd have created courses to equip you with the information needed to meet the obligations under the new law.
This training is mandatory and must be completed by 8/1/2019. The training is available via any of the following: (only one course is required)
- LIMRA (45 minute course)
- RegEd (1 hour course)
- RegEd CE (4 hour course. Eligible for continuing education credits)
Annuity carriers will be unable to accept your annuity business on or after 8/1/2019 if this training is incomplete.
